Had to brave the weather in the end, not because we barely had any food in the house, but because it's my darling Lulu's birthday tomorrow, and she needs presents. She will be 14, so not as mobile as she once was. Apart from the usual edible treats, she is a labrador after all, I bought her a paddling pool. Hubby is more convinced than ever that I've lost my marbles, but she loves a soak, especially on a hot day, and she can't go swimming like she used to. Only flaw in my plan is the weather! x

PS The lady on the checkout thought my plan was perfectly reasonable.

Well it's raining yet again, absolutely pouring, the pump in the cellar is working overtime and the bay window has sprung a leak again. The joy of old houses!
In an effort to avoid queuing outside the supermarket, I'm postponing the shopping and attempting some silent housework whilst hubby teaches an online lesson.
I blame the pretty summer dresses hubby bought me, it's barely stopped raining since they arrived, lol! x
