Handsome antique steamer trunk, coffee table, with monogram, inner tray and makers label

This is the loveliest Edwardian steamer trunk, made by “John Hutchison” of Aberdeen, rich conker brown, with leather corners and handles, maker’s labels and an “S.S.P.” monogram to both ends. Utterly charming !
The interior has retained it’s original cream cotton lining and lift out tray, worn and marked as youd expect, but perfectly usable.
It measures approx 30″ by 19″, stands about 13″ tall overall, so perfectly suited as a stylish alternative to a standard coffee table or blanket box/ottoman at the end of a period bedstead. Not to mention the oodles of useful storage within.
It’s in good condition, with expected knocks and wear,  plus the loss of it’s leather straps.
