Pretty antique French brocade covered folding book shelf

 This is the most wonderful little antique French desktop book shelf,  I would say dating from the 1920’s, but in an 18th Century style, being covered in a much worn brocade and trimmed with velvet and heavy metallic braid, originally gold, but tarnished with age.
It measures approx. 11 1/2″ long overall, by 4 3/4″ deep to the base and 5 3/4″ tall to the sides.
As mentioned, the brocade is faded and worn through and the braid dull with age.
